For decades, conservatives hailed the filibuster as a sacred institutional shield whenever it was used to block civil rights, voting access, and criminal justice reform. But the second a Republican isn’t getting his way, the procedural gimmick is suddenly a national crisis. Give us a break.
Friday, during an appearance on FBN’s “Mornings with Maria,” Rep. Jeff Van Drew (R-NJ) expressed his frustration with the U.S. Senate and the chamber’s use of the filibuster.
