Amazon founder Jeff Bezos is suddenly auditioning for economic savior of the working class by proposing a zero-income-tax policy for bottom earners directly to Donald Trump. It takes a dizzying amount of nerve for a billionaire whose corporation built an empire on federal tax loopholes and labor exploitation to lecture anyone on tax fairness.
Billionaire Amazon founder, Jeff Bezos, says the bottom 50% of Americans should pay no federal income tax—and he plans to pitch the idea to President Trump.
If Bezos actually cared about working people, he would pay his warehouse staff a living wage and pay his corporate fair share instead of running PR stunts.
