Right-wing outrage merchants are having a full-blown meltdown because a progressive Black woman built a safe space for her community. Apparently, opening a bookstore and daring to call it ‘Cafe Resistance’ is the ultimate threat to fragile conservative sensibilities.
Angie Nixon, the Florida state representative and Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) candidate who won her Senate primary race on Tuesday, owns a cafe bookstore branded, ‘Cafe Resistance.’
Imagine being this terrified of books, community, and coffee served by a Black woman who wins elections. Stay mad.
